I am all for small business. My wife runs one. Does you want more lobbying and cronyism just for small business? I am against big business getting into bed with government should we applaud small business getting special government favors? Isn’t that just a different scale of lobbying? Giving a tax break just because a business is over X years old isn’t that similar to giving a property tax break to Walmart because they employ a lot of people?. How is rent seeking for small business “better” than large business? (other than scale) Aren’t they both wrong? Justifying subsidies or special treatment because the other guys get it is trying to justify bad behavior by more bad behavior.
