Questions: Good evening all! I have a nasty problem with my laptop. In this case an Asus N750jk with an 850 evo SSD as primary drive. When I got the laptop the original windows 8.1 was installed and I installed an SSD using the samsung migration software. No problems. I installed Photoshop CC 2014 (an illegal version) and everything was fine. The official windows 10 upgrade passed flawless. Photoshop was still working fine. The new build came, still no problems, UNTIL! About a week ago (I haven’t updated anything, my laptop crashes when I fire up Photoshop! BSOD (kernel security check failure) and no restart! I googled the problem and was under the impression I had to update my drivers and so on… Knowing I had been installing and uninstalling various other programs and the “windows.old” was still on the SSD, I decided to do a clean install, also hoping that my BSOD upon starting Photoshop would disappear. After doing the clean install (using a secure erase from the samsung magician software and an official windows 10 download) I installed Photoshop again. And yet again the dreaded “kernel security check failure” BSOD comes back everytime I start the program…

I’ve already installed all the latest drivers and so on, so I’m beginning to think my memory has gone bad? Just hope someone here knows what it is since I primarily use the laptop for my photo’s! Many thanks in advance, Sjoerd Best Answer: Nowadays, it is much easier for computer users to come across BSOD when starting Photoshop issues.
