  1. My understanding for this case is that the culture, talent, and process is essential for a project success. Bob Bulger of WH Pacific said that, “Culture starts with how employees see themselves in the company, how they see themselves in the projects they work on…” How the employees share their visions, and expectations about the project and how they follow the code of conduct and work ethics is also important.

As what PMI have stated, they have completed their projects successfully for up to 80% because of their rigorous approach to their project.

In addition, in order for the organizations to improve they must make sure that their employees fully understands the project management and it’s value.

2. I believe this project is not worth to continue and to recommend for an investment because its Return on Investment is very low.

4. a.) The real problem of this case is that Nick has to once again start preparing the new schedule according to the given timeframe and to deliver the project without compromising on any of the prosects of the project.

b.) This case does not present any realistic scenario because of the least timeframe given to the new project manager by the top management.

c.) Nick Carson is not a good project manager because he did not focus on all aspects of the project.

d.) to be a better project manager Nick should have scheduled the project properly and also should have arranged kick off meetings.

e.) the top management should first have a kick off meeting with all the stakeholders and analyze the present status of the project.
