Black Friday: The Best Deals So Far

Here are the best deals so far. (As always, we’ve divided them into categories so just scroll down to find the type of product you’re interested in. (Happy shopping!)

Computing / Entertainment

  • Sony already has a few decent TV and camera deals out the door. We like the look of the 43" X7000E 4K HDR TV for $798, Sony a7 II E-Mount Camera for $2019 and a7R II E-Mount Camera for $4149. More deals are sure to pop up in the days ahead, so keep checking back!
  • Kogan will be kicking off its Black Friday sale on 22 November — although a few tech bargains have slipped through the gates even earlier. Noteworthy deals include Apple’s iPhone 8 (64GB, Gold) for $999, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 (64GB, Midnight Black) for $839, LG’s 27" Ultra HD UHD 4K IPS Monitor (27UD58-B) for $599 and the Google Home for $159. Prices are expected to drop further on 22 November, so keep those pages bookmarked!
  • Dell can always be relied upon on Black Friday and this year is no exception. You can score up to 40% off on laptops, pre-built desktops, monitors and more. Unusually, the deals are set to expire the day before Black Friday (November 23) so don’t dillydally! Deals that spotted out eye include: the Inspiron 15 5000 laptop (i7–7500U, 256GB SSD, 16GB RAM, R7 M445 GPU, 15.6" 1080p) for $1078.99, Inspiron Gaming Desktop (Ryzen 1700X, 8GB RAM, RX 580 8GB, 256GB SSD + 1TB SATA) for $1699, the Dell Ultrasharp 27 4K HDR U2718Q monitor for $749 and the Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 (i7–8550U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel 620, 13.3" 1080p, Dell Active Pen) for $1599.
  • Lenovo are running a pre-Black Friday sale on their website that ends midnight November 23, with up to 30% off of selected PCs. The ThinkPad E470 is a good place to start, with $230 off the RRP, bringing it down to $749, but for something a little more powerful go for the 2-in-1 Yoga 370 at $1399, saving $700.
  • Hardware retailer MWave is taking part in the Black Friday sales as well. Noteworthy deals include AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Socket TR4 3.4GHz Unlocked CPU Processor for $1149 (save $250), Ryzen Threadripper 1900X 8-Core Socket TR4 3.8GHz Unlocked CPU Processor for $609 (save $120) and Ryzen 5 1600X 6 Core Socket AM4 3.6GHz CPU Processor for $285 (save $34).
  • Ivacy VPN has its own Black Friday offer — a 2-year Plan for 81% off, which works out to $1.87 per month with an additional 1 Year FREE
     Bonus Tip: Avail another 5% Exclusive discount on top it by using Promo code “BFCM17” when checking out.
  • Audiophiles can snap up some early bargains too — premiumsound.com.au is currently offering Black Friday deals on Bose and B&O products. Highlights include Bose SoundTrue Ultra In-Ear Wired Headphones for $99, Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay P2 Speaker for $199 and Bose Wave music system IV for $599. That’s $80, $50 and $200 off, respectively.
  • Bluetooth speakers are a handy Christmas gift and the Microsoft store has the JBL Charge 3 for $149, which is one of the best prices you find at this time of year. If you were more inclined to grab the UE Megaboom, then you can grab it from Bing Lee’s eBay store for $215.20 using the code POWERON

Games

  • You can currently get bunch of corker discounts available for Xbox Live Gold users, including Assassin’s Creed Origins for $69.97, Grand Theft Auto V for $49.95, Mass Effect™: Andromeda for $19.98 and Life is Strange Complete Season for $6.74. Don’t have Xbox Live Gold? No worries! To coincide with Black Friday, Microsoft is offering a one-month signup for just $1.
  • The Playstation Store has a bunch of Black Friday deals too with a range of excellent full-price games selling for under $15. Highlights include Metal Gear Solid V The Definitive Experience for $14.95, Valkryia Chronicles Remastered for $14.95, Battlefield 4 for $8.95, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition for $14.95 and Oxenfree for $7.55. Playstation will launch their full Black Friday offerings on November 24.

  • EB Games also kicked off its Christmas Mega Sale with big savings on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC products. You can also grab deals on loot/merchandise and smartphones.
  • Not sure what to get from EB Games’ massive Black Friday sale? We like the look of the 4K Playstation 4 Pro 1TB console with five games for $499. Alongside the console, you get Wolfenstein II, Evil Within 2, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2 and the Elder Scrolls: Morrowind — save $250!
  • Further to the above deal, EB Games Black Friday sale officially starts at 12:01am November 24, but some of the excellent prices have already been revealed via email late Wednesday night. You can purchase a 5OOgb Xbox One S, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Wolfenstein II and The Evil Within 2 for $267. That will save you $287 — just be wary that the Xbox One S doesn’t do 4K gaming, it only does 4K video. That deal is live here, along with four other deals for the same price with different bundled games.
  • If you’re more of a PC person, then Steam is where you will want to spend most of your cash. Their Autumn sale has now begun, with some huge discounts all over the store. Some of the current top sellers are Shadow of War and NieR: Automata which are both 40% off, plus a bunch of highlighted deals on big titles like Night in the Woods, Insideand The Evil Within 2.
  • Keep an eye out for deals coming through our friends at Kotaku, who will be all over the best games to grab in the upcoming sales

Food/Drink

  • Cellarmasters is offering $100 off a $200+ spend when you use the discount code “100XMASGIFT”. The deal is available site wide!
  • Here’s a deal for any KFC fans out there — 30 KFC Chicken Nuggets, two Large Chips and Dipping Sauce for $15.95.

Fashion / Cosmetics

  • Cotton On has 30-to-50% off its entire range of products including Typo gear.
  • ASOS haven’t got quite the same discounts they had in Click Frenzy, but 20% off is still great.
  • SurfStitch are doing 30% off almost everything and the deals run all weekend until 3am Monday November 27. Use the code .BLACKOUT’.
  • Catch has knocked up to 70% off ASICS footwear.
  • People really do wear Crocs. If you’re one of them, you can currently get 30% offsitewide.
  • Tech21 has knocked 30% off mobile accessories. You can also get free delivery on orders over $70.
  • Priceline has slashed select cosmetics by 50%. You can access the sales online or in store. The deal ends today.

Miscellaneous

  • You can currently score up to 60% off at Vistaprint when you use the discount code “BONUS”. (This is an especially cool way to make bespoke Christmas gifts like cards, mugs and T-shirts on the cheap.)
  • Scoopon Travel is offering a range of P&O Cruise packages from $299 which include meals and entertainment. Click here to see what’s on offer.
  • Expedia is running a Flash Sale right now where you can save 50% off hotels worldwide. They’ve also got 40% off their escape sale to destinations around the world, so you can get to those cheap hotels! $100 off Flight + Hotel packages when you spend $1000 or more. You can also get 15% off select hotels.
  • BookDepository is knocking an extra 10% off everything, including sale items. The deals runs for the next 72 hours. (Requires discount code ‘BF10’ at the checkout.)
