The Salk Institute tells us their research indicates elements of marijuana work to reduce the effects of Alzheimer’s, perhaps to include reducing the inflammation that wreaks the devastation of Alzheimer’s. As one who has Alzheimer’s in my family, it makes absolute sense to me to use marijuana on the hope that it will lessen my exposure to the devastating effects that may be in my future. This holds true for any who fear exposure, and since there is no other apparent path to lessen the threat, then the logical path is to use marijuana. The only reason I can think of why the DEA has taken the stand against mj is money, say, from the alcohol industry.
