Great piece.

In my experience, getting everyone grounded in the context of the customer and business needs and problems means more smart brains solving the problem and productive discourse/debate on the many paths to take, which leads to amazing products/features/tech.

I also completely agree with the point about pay. It always amazes me when I talk with (primarily) VCs who still think we can pay well below market rate in an early-stage startup and build a great team.
