The media will do what it can with sensational tidbits to make money. So far, the cover up and lies are, as with Watergate, etc. proving more damaging than whatever it is that’s being covered up — although that could change when whatever is being covered up gets uncovered. The firings and resignations continue and we’re now through just six months of this smouldering dumpster fire.
Whether or not collusion or conspiracy is PROVEN doesn’t really matter. Cybercrime is a different kettle of fish than the old fashioned Watergate sort, and we’re dealing with a guy whose eyes are colder than any cybercrime fish. If you really want to get the big picture try Richard A. Clarke’s or Malcolm Nance’s books on Cybercrime and the Russian’s capability to disrupt the political and social affairs of another country. This is not to say that the U.S. doesn’t do the very same thing in other countries but that’s a different discussion.
