ZTX Beta Play Guide:Guide to the Entrance

The beta version of the WEB3 Metaverse ZTX has been released, making it accessible to play even for non-members of the ZTX community.

In this guide, I’ll provide a clear overview of the key points related to the ZTX Beta version and the steps to start playing.

Note: This guide is intended for those who are not familiar with Web3 and cryptocurrencies, hence technical details have been omitted for simplicity.

1:What You Need to Play the ZTX Beta Version

A Computer (PC meeting Unity’s requirements) 💻

For playing ZTX, please refer to the following Unity recommended requirements.
You don’t need a high-performance gaming PC; I have smoothly played it on a MacBook Air M1 8GB.

MetaMask 🦊

MetaMask (a cryptocurrency wallet) is essential for playing the ZTX Beta version.

Think of MetaMask as your login ID/PASS.

Starting from the February 2024 update, it is now possible to log in with a Google account. However, it is not possible to link an account created with MetaMask to a Google account, so if you have already created an account with MetaMask, please continue to use MetaMask.

When you hear that a cryptocurrency wallet is needed, it’s natural to think that costs for buying cryptocurrencies or NFTs might be involved, right?

No expenses are required at all! !

MetaMask (a cryptocurrency wallet) is only needed for login purposes, and you don’t need to have cryptocurrencies in MetaMask.

Note: There are some scenarios in gameplay where cryptocurrencies can be used, but the basic play is free, just like ZEPETO or Roblox.

What Can You Do in the ZTX Beta Version?

In a nutshell, the ZTX Beta version is like “Animal Crossing”
but without animals.

Unfortunately, in the Beta version, multiplayer functions such as interacting with other players or competing in games have not been implemented yet.

In the ZTX Beta, players can collect materials like plants and minerals on their assigned land and house, create items, dress up avatars, and decorate homes.

Moreover, a highlight in the Beta version is the ability to create (and earn from) NFTs!

If you enjoy laid-back simulation games, even the Beta version offers a chance to relax and earn.

In 2024, we plan to release Genesis Downtown, where players can interact and enjoy portal games.

POINT 1: Create Your NFTs!

When you log in to ZTX, every player is assigned a free home and land. In this personal space, you can collect necessary materials to create NFTs, including interior and fashion items.

With the NFTs you create, you can not only dress up your avatar and decorate your room, but you can also earn cryptocurrency by trading them on NFT marketplaces.

POINT 2: What are the NFT Capsules You Can Cash Out?

In ZTX, there are special NFT items called “Capsules” which can be directly exchanged for $ZTX (a cryptocurrency).

There are three types of Capsules — Bronze, Silver, and Gold — each with different cash-out values.

A key feature of ZTX is that all items, including Capsules, are NFTs (digital assets), and their number is limited, making them valuable as assets.

As of February 23, 2024, the collection of materials (Dark Matter) required for capsule creation has been halted, so it is not possible to create capsules.

POINT 3: Build Your Avatar the Way

ZTX is a WEB3 Metaverse built on the foundation of ZEPETO, allowing for detailed customization of your avatar’s appearance and fashion style.

While the avatars themselves are not NFTs, there are plenty of engaging elements for those who enjoy ZEPETO.♪

⚠️ What is a Secret Recovery Phrase?

The secret recovery phrase in MetaMask is a key set of 12 or 24 English words used for backup and restoration of your MetaMask wallet. This phrase is crucial for accessing your MetaMask wallet on a new device or if you can’t access it for some reason.

For security, write down this phrase, manage it carefully, and do not share it with others. Losing this phrase means losing access to your wallet, so store it safely.

Note: Storing it as a smartphone screenshot is not recommended for security reasons.

MetaMask setup is now complete!

Starting from the February 2024 update, it is now possible to log in with a Google account. However, it is not possible to link an account created with MetaMask to a Google account, so if you have already created an account with MetaMask, please continue to use MetaMask.

Downloading and Logging into the ZTX Beta Version Once MetaMask is set up, download the ZTX Beta version from the link below:

As of January 2, 2024, the ZTX Beta version is currently under maintenance and cannot be played. We will announce the resumption date of the Beta version as soon as it is known, via medium and Twitter.

As of February 2024, it is now possible to log in with a Google account.

⚠️ Things to Note When Logging In During the first login, an ‘authentication message’ will appear three times. Wait for these three messages to appear on MetaMask. After the initial three authentications, subsequent logins will only require one authentication.

Once you’ve made it this far, all that’s left is to enjoy ZTX!
Clicking the “LAND” button will take you right into ZTX.

A tutorial will appear first, and if you’re familiar with PC games, I think you’ll find the play intuitive. So, I highly recommend just diving in and giving it a try!
