Hello, Grandma.

It’s been a while since we’ve talked. We used to talk a lot. You used to softly scratch my back and arms in a soothing, calming way, while we talked for hours about all sorts of things. Your voice was so gentle and loving.

You took care of us. And when it came to having a woman figure in my life, it was you. Only you. When you knew you needed to, you took on the role as the mother I never really had. You taught me what to expect when I became a woman

I enjoyed making art with you. You showed me your passion for drawing, doodling, and painting. And encouraged me to do the same.

You took care of us through tough times.

Thank you for teaching me things that my father couldn’t teach me. Thank you for giving me the passion for art and technology, which sparked a career I probably wouldn’t have right now if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for loving me through the good and the bad. Thank you so much for being the grandmother you were.

I love you Grandma.
