While I don’t know your individual circumstances, RastaPasta, my observation is that most folks who talk a lot about “[one shouldn’t] put his personal comfort and wealth AHEAD of his own grandchildren’s futures” are rarely seen letting go or tuning down their personal comforts and amenities, such as TV, air condition, dish washer, washer/dryer, large housing, consumption of large amount of coffee/tea/corn/meat/etc, all of which were fairly recent things and without which we shall all still be living fine. Yet rarely those who preach actually practice, thus leading to the general doubt of the sincerity and severity of the issue.
