[Poem] In A Name

What’s in a name?
Your living corpse with schemes;
in hopes for salvation,
from schemes within schemes.

What’s in a name?
Humble bones that sleep;
serving eternally,
faithfully at ease.

What’s in a name?
Another smoking gun;
this life a reminder,
this day one more reason
to be somebody.

What’s in a name?
A Thing that could be me;
Prophet to my visions,
Messiah of my sojourn.
Onwards to lands unconquered,
regrets unslaughtered,
love not given,
fights not won,
treasures secluded;
a monument to remember destiny well met.

What’s in a name?
The Spirit to be tamed;
Man’s 'great drama’,
Man’s dichotomy;
pain we live to hoard,
pleasure we do gamble.

What’s in a name?
Life that’s meant to be;
sharp against this jugular at the point of non-worry,
when these walls unfold,
ten years into a dream.
