Broken Heart

An original by me

The poet in me was never told

I’ve never been one to be so bold

A sad song, a lone some cry

Was hidden, tucked away left alone to die

Then came life as abundant as she

it was wonderful as beautiful as can be

Rejuvenated myself from within

but I knew it thats where I’ve been

Stay away my conscious say

draw closer my broken heart prays

Yet all this maybe a ride they say

A short one that may soon end one day.
