I am 39 myself, I own a small software startup (profitable and self-funded) and I’m way more comfortable hiring someone my age, who can hack some cool sh*t using an “old school” language like C, C++, C#, than all the “cool kids” who spend their time keeping up with every new JS framework coming out every month (no offense, kids). Now I know where to go to post my job ads whenever I have an opening.
