Jaane Jaan, the latest film from director Sujoy Ghosh, had all the makings of a suspenseful thriller: a talented cast, an intriguing plot, and a director with a proven track record. However, the film ultimately falls short, delivering a disappointing end to a promising start.

Story:
The film begins with Maya (Kareena Kapoor Khan) living a seemingly idyllic life in the hill station of Kalimpong. However, her past comes crashing back in when her abusive ex-husband, Ajit (Karma Takapa), shows up. A confrontation ensues, and Ajit ends up dead.
Maya is now on the run, and she turns to her neighbor, Naren (Jaideep Ahlawat), for help. Naren is a brilliant mathematician, and he uses his knowledge to help Maya cover up the crime.
