Day-43: One more day!!
It’s been hell of a ride, and who would’ve thought I’d make it this far. I can’t believe how fast time flew by, but I’m really glad that I kept a journal. No matter how much time has passed, I can always look at these journals and relive the moments.
Matt was kind enough to take me and Keira in for another pseudo-code challenge. The first problem involved using a map method on an array. It was something that I stayed away from during the Ruby lessons. However, I learned that it’s a very useful iteration method for an array and it gets asked in the interview questions a lot. The second problem was creating a method that checks if each character in a given word is unique or not. I couldn’t solve this problem, and Keira taught me that one way to solve this is to use a hash to keep track of each character’s count. Then I remembered doing something similar in Mina’s coffee and code. There are still tons of things that I don’t know, but it also means that I can still grow.
Anyways, I’d like to congratulate all my classmates for making it through this bootcamp. I’m looking forward to seeing you all’s final project tomorrow!
