The point I was trying to make is that many people associate the shift to direct-to-consumer solely with the rise of e-commerce. And while online commerce will continue to make up a bigger piece of the pie in the years to come, the shift is broader than e-commerce alone, and affects the retail experience significantly as well. I also wanted to point out that the retail experience may be transforming, but it certainly isn’t going away.
