LinkedIn and the Kitchen Sink

Another social media app that I absolutely love to scroll through during the day is Vine. It is a great place to see funny videos that can brighten up any bad day.

I do not know of a of news stations thta are on Vine, but I would make the push for the app for a couple of reasons. Kind of like snapchat you can get a the necessary information into a quick ‘blurb” like video and then add a link to the complete story in the caption section. For a lot of kids from the younger generation, they like to just scroll through the popular apps and see what comes up. If they were to see a quick blurb regarding an important news story, maybe they would be more willing to click the link. I know a lot of kids out age do not scroll through multiple news outlets on their phone, so if we can bring the news to the younger generation then maybe they will become more invested in it and be more willing to watch and listen to the news.

I think news7 could use this app as well, just ike the reason I said above, instead of posting long videos or blurbs to our social media, we could share a vine that last about 6 seconds and get out the necessary information. If people become interested from those 6 seconds, then they will be more likely to either click the link or tune into the broadcast.
