Red Sox Blow It in Papi’s Last Game

Wow…that really stunk. Yea, i’ve had a few drinks and i probably should wait until tomorrow to blog this, but So what. Big whoop. Want to fight about it?

Did that team deserve a spot in the world series? Absolutely not, but that was just an absolute dumpster fire. Pedroia deciding to argue strikes even though they were right down the middle, Farrell swapping the kid out for Chris Young, AND Brock Holt for Aaron Hill…AARON HILL…Not like they’ve been your most productive batters in this series. Just disaster. Listen…I love the Sox as much as the next guy but that was just a complete implosion if I’ve ever seen one. Hanley goes on Derek Jeter’s blog or whaterver it is and says “We’re not going home” oh wait, “jk, I’m going 0–however many times i get to the plate”…It’s not his fault completely, obviously. He showed some “heart’ with that post and i respect him for that…but man the sox really friggin blew it…The worst part of the whole thing…David Oritz’s last at bat was a walk…A WALK. I mean, good for him for having an eye on the ball but Jesus Christ, that’s not how a G.O.A.T. should go out.

I’m young. I know I haven’t even seen enough sports to even express my disappointment (Longest I’ve went without a world series was nine years…my grandfather went 74 years…74 YEARS!!!) but to see a legend like David Ortiz go out like that…that SUCKS.

At any rate…I’m really not sure where the sox go from here. Farrell brought them to the playoffs but my god, was that poor managing. I would hope we grab a new a new manager (BringBobbyVBack), but god knows that will not happen because John Henry will keep Farrell for the rest of eternity just to make us all puke every time they lose in the ALCS…Pitching is a HUGE concern. Price decides to be very O.K. for the regular season and absolutely die during the post season (nbd…just a $31 Mil. cap hit every year for the next 6 years). Another issue of course, who will our DH be next year is a big question. I would say Hanley, but god he adjusted to 1st Base very well…hopefully we can scoop Encarnacion next season. That would be LIT of course, but hopefully, we can add some pitching (please Sox…you can’t win without playoff pitching)…Either way, It’s 3AM, Bruins on Thursday, Tom fuck’n Brady is alive and well, and for the Sox, I guess we’ll see what happens in the months to come…all and all…that really sucked.
