A lot of what you wrote here is good for that kind of writer, but not all writers because a lot of what you are suggesting takes the joy out of writing and may even be enough to turn one away from writing. Same is true about those who think it would be fun to turn their hobby into a job. Same it true for those who move from being the hands-on person at work to the manager of people.
