Assuming the routes and switches are the only places one wants to go. So I doubt every conceivable route will be available.

Robocars will work fine in fixed locations with fixed routes, but for the rest of us — take rural for example — it’ll be difficult on dirt roads, dirt driveways, and the lesser roads. And until robocars are weather hardened they’ll work best in limited climate changing environments. Tropical storms, hurricane and high wind areas, snow storm plagued areas….robocars will likely have, at least initially, a hard time working well.
