“did the best she knew at the time” — We don’t know what she did at the time. What we do know is that she used a blogging platform to put up her issues with Uber, that she knew full well how to use the Internet and from that….I suspect just looking up ‘sexual harassment’ she missed the first page that EEOC pops up on. There are no excuses for one from a smartphone/Internet/computing-devices world to not know what to do when it comes to the popular sexual harassment world of anger out there given the feminist movement, gender/sex identity rights and pronoun demands news, and Women’s March that makes headline news and local Slutwalk protests. She wins no points for attempting to appear naive.
Anyone attempting to gain employment from any company is expected by companies to have done their homework to learn everything they can about the company where they apply. That’s common knowledge.
The Bay Area has a well-known sexual harassment and do-nothing HR response culture. If this was her point ….and not her plight of hell at Uber….she missed my observation as did that of others.
Uber didn’t become a ‘toxic wasteland of sociopathic behavior’ overnight and neither did the Bay Area.
