Susan’s biggest blunder in this whole mess was that she didn’t file a formal complaint with the EEOC who would have opened Uber up wide. I suspect she felt not doing so would make for a bigger hit in the viral world and among feminists. Tho I do find it interesting that her husband, Chad Rigetti — CEO of Rigetti Computing, filled out and submitted a Labor Condition Application with the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration to hire an Australian on an E3 Visa to fill a position with his company of “QUANTUM APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER”. While an LCA is legal it clearly initiates a process many in the United States are angry about….that whole idea that tech companies are unable to find qualified American citizens to fill such jobs. While not harassment it does question whether or not such an act could be considered discriminatory against American citizens. I wonder if Susan condones Chad’s decision and whether or not Chad’s tech venture will guard against the eruption of ‘bro culture’ in his own company. (source of the above LCA: https://lcr-pjr.doleta.gov/index.cfm?event=ehLCJRExternal.dspCert&doc_id=3&visa_class_id=4&id=4509032). The next question is whether or not Rigetti Computing’s investors are socially responsible to be sure his company does not suffer the foibles currently happening at Uber and other tech companies.
