What you’re getting at is: Notated music. Notation as a means of composition as compared to improvisation as a means of composition. Not that they’re mutually exclusive. There’s some improvisation in even the strictest notated music, and of course some notation in Jazz music. But you already have the precedent of “Improvised music,” which is what some of the more avant-garde/less Jazz-influenced of Free Jazz artists get grouped into.
