We just completed our first G̶i̶v̶e̶S̶a̶f̶e̶ Samaritan beacon test.

What this means is that the moment the you encounter a need, you can act. No cash, no concerns, no cans of soup stashed in your trunk needed. Drag and tap a push notification to give $1 (or more) that can be spent at approved local merchants.

Much of Rene’s motivation to build Samaritan is to serve the homeless in his own country, El Salvador. As for me, it comes down to trust, and availing it to those who only find judgement if they present their need.
