Review: I truly enjoyed this book. It is so well structured and straight to the point. I would have never thought there was such a disparity on US taxes and how it affects different races. The author does a great job pointing out historical events and tax reforms that has shaped the system as we know it. There is so much to do.

Title: What stood out most above “The White-Ness of Wealth” is the research.

Review: Recently I ordered and received my copy of “The White-Ness of Wealth”. I am HALF way through. I am burning through the book.

Dr. Brown’s addresses how US Tax policy impacts black American’s Marriage, Housing, Education, Jobs, Stocks, and Future possibilities. The “Notes” section of the book was very important to me. The “Notes” begin on p231 through p265.

The most pressing facts which stood out were:
US Legal Court and legislative laws disproportionally transfer wealth from black marriages, homeownership, education, and Job market.

Passive income vs. Wage income.
Educational debt spent at For Profit colleges/universities by black Americans.
Housing loans and housing market ratios and the US government — The impact of redlining in loans, banking and choice of property to buy and sell.
Only stocks, bonds, patents, and copyrights help black Americans build wealth.
