What do you feel like the addition of scope provides you that contributes to your CSS being better-architected?

Also, I’d venture to say that calling Atomic CSS “wrong” is an injection of personal opinion — it’s an approach that can be utilized in helpful or unhelpful ways. There is no “right” or “wrong.” The chief arguments against Atomic — that it’s “duplicating inline styles” or “ruins the point of CSS” — are, ironically, sort of the POINT of Atomic. It requires a conceptual shift in your mindset to be on board with.
