I hesitate to link the changes at Apple directly to the death of Steve Jobs. I admired him in many ways but I was never a fanboy of either him or Apple. But the change in Apple’s attitude does seem to co-incide with his death and Tim Cook’s leadership.

I’m a Windows user by necessity, but have always supported my wife’s Mac addiction. We both have (sadly) come to the same conclusion. Whatever magic (tyranny?) that Jobs brought and brought back to Apple appears to have died with him.

Macs are now just very pretty but heavy and massively overpriced laptops with no more compatibility and quality than your average HP/Dell/Acer Windows machine.
