Crafting a life that matters
How many people do you know who are stuck in a job bored out of their minds because their job provides little to no meaning in their life?
Stuck because they would rather work in boredom day-after-day in exchange for security.
Stuck because they don’t have the confidence in themselves to go at it alone.
To me that sounds like paid slavery.
It sounds like someone giving up on themselves.
Opportunities to help people are everywhere and there’s no excuse as to why you can’t start.
A couple months ago I launched MIYAGISCHOOL where I help people start and grow businesses. We have four entrepreneurs working on four separate businesses right now and we plan to have 10 by the end of the year.
The most meaningful part of this work for me is to watch these people grow by doing work that matters.
Yesterday I wrote about how much time we are wasting watching TV and being on social media. I wrote that life only has meaning when you create it.
The best way to start creating it, is by helping someone.
We create meaning in our lives when we focus on others who need us and when we try to improve the world in some way.
It’s less about what we want and more about what we give.
So quit that job if it doesn’t bring you meaning.
Life is short — don’t waste it.
And do something that feeds your soul.
