Selling is helping

So many people are scared of the word sales.

When they think of sales an image of a shady used car salesman comes up. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting amazing sales people in my life. Some of the best in the country actually and the one thing I can tell you about these top performers is they see their profession as being of service to others. They’re good at what they do not because they are trying to get the most for themselves but because they care about giving people the right solution.

People like Brent Thomson at Peak Sales or Colleen Francis at Engage Selling are examples of this.

One thing is for sure — you can’t build a business without being able to sell.

If sales is something you avoid because it feels uncomfortable, perhaps it’s because you’re looking at it wrong.
