What is restricted becomes more desirable
A week ago my daughter tells me that she can’t wait to be in grade six because they are allowed to bring cell phones to school and she can’t.
She went to church with her class yesterday and she says she can’t wait to be in grade two because she gets to eat that bread you stand in line for and she csn’t.
When we restrict things from people it enhances its allure. It brings attention to it. Tell someone they can’t and they want it even more.
Now think about how this applies to adults and their relationships where the partner is forbidden to even look at another person of the same sex. What does that really do?
Something to ponder.
