Thanks for sharing your story! I’ve walked up and down University Ave since the late 90’s wondering the whole story behind the rug shop! Definitely one of the greatest aspects of Silicon Valley — simply getting _access_ to great startups via seemingly random means (e.g. selling them rugs!), and that the startup founders themselves did not exclude you from investing early because they were solely waiting to fund a round on Sand Hill. Congrats.
