Should Grooms Stay out of the Way of Wedding Planning?

Yo Taylor!

As a member of the future tied down group. I’d like to throw in my 2 cents.

I’m similar to Caleb in that I like to have my hand on things. I like things the way I like them. That being said, there are some things I’m just not going to care about.

For example — we recently received an agenda back from our wedding planner. The agenda had on it the cake and it’s design, including blue flowers on it. Apparently 3 months ago when we decided on the cake, we chose white flowers. My fiance spotted this immediately and told me things like that would bother her. I told her I wouldn’t even have noticed. It’s just not something I think about.

So basically what I’m saying is, the things I care about, I’m more than happy to help with. Food choices, DJ, processional songs, first songs, even some of the decor (to an extent). However the things that I don’t care about, I will give my opinion, if asked, but it’s usually not a strong opinion.

All in all, I’m glad to help, and would even like to in some cases, but in others. I’d rather just have her take the lead. She probably cares more than I do. And I’m not good at faking it.

PS — Klaffky did it right.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
