What I was reminded of from the NBA finals, game 07.
- Never give up, even in the face of ridicule, insults or shame. Put your head down, push forward and keep your goal in mind.
- It is truly how you finish that matters. Golden State had the best record in the league, but lost when it counted the most. Use your ‘season’ as training and preparation. Then ace your ‘finals’ when it matters.
- Recognize and ride momentum. Know what time it is in your life, in your relationships, in your space. Know when to be still and learn when to proceed and strike. Ride the wave of momentum to victory.
- We can rationalize and make excuses for everything that we do. Stop whining and start winning in life.
- Your words can truly come back to bite you. So can your arrogance.
- Have no regrets about the process.
- Breakthrough takes time. Don’t be dismayed and don’t give up on your dream. Sometimes it takes years for you to get your ‘ring’. And sometimes it takes changing locations, grinding and being humbled by small defeats on the way.
- Always maintain your character. It sustains through the wins and losses of life. People will forget if you’ve won or loss, but what people won’t forget is how you acted during your win or loss.
- Miracles DO happen.
- If you live to see it, there’s always tomorrow. Another opportunity……
