“Things are both getting better and getting worse. The madness is accelerating, but an acceleration of the new consciousness is also coming in.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

Earth is a planet of duality — good and bad, light and darkness, happiness and suffering, etc. But if you watch, read, or listen to the news, you are likely to hear mostly the negative stuff — the crazy stuff — which is getting crazier by the day.

Some say that if the news affects us negatively, we should stop paying attention to it. But since I choose to stay informed about what’s going on in the world, these four reminders help me deal with it. If you find yourself becoming deeply saddened, angry, or overwhelmed when you see all the madness occurring around you, maybe they can help you deal with it as well.

1. There are still many wonderful, caring, intelligent, rational people in this world.

2. Every individual — every soul — is an integral part of the one loving Universal Spirit.

3. Planet Earth is home to the whole spectrum of soul ages — from very young souls to very old souls. It’s mostly the very young souls who, due to their lack of awareness and immaturity, are acting out the irrationality, callousness, and cruelty we are witnessing.

4. The consciousness upgrade — humanity’s shift to a higher state of awareness — is AMPLIFYING our worst traits in order to bring our shadow — collective and individual — to light in order to be transmuted and healed.

I hope you find these tips helpful. How are you dealing with all the madness?
