I’m reluctant to even say this, but I do find this to be a natural extension of the longstanding culture in the node community of rejecting any response to behavioral confrontation with anything besides immediate and abject kowtowing.

Perhaps I hyperbolize, but it’s hard to deny that context and nuance are quickly dismissed in these discussions; when all that matters are the mechanics of the response, what need would you have of the specifics? I’ve often considered (fantasized?) of moving on to other tech stacks, and suffice it to say, it wasn’t over callback hell, dynamic typing, or micro modules.
