There’s a reason Congress stepped in. The CDC’s “research” was heavily biased and overtly slanted toward anti-gun advocacy, using such dishonest tricks as including drug dealers and buyers ad “acquaintances” and defining “child” as anyone under 25.
If there is to be research, it must not be government-funded — after all, if money corrupts research, then government money counts too, and governments hate guns in civilian hands — and it must be rigorously designed and carried out to expunge any possibility of ideology.
