I don’t find this responsive to my question. If I were to define the field of religion I would term it the imagined realm of the supernatural and its relationship to creation myths and ultimate destination speculations. Science has never been a part of religion. Science considers only what can be perceived, measured, quantified in our universe and the “supernatural”, by definition, can not be perceived, measured, or quantified. While people certainly speculate about “spiritual” matters they can in no way be shown to exist outside of the biological realm of our brains. Some of the experiences that we call spiritual CAN be shown to have physical counterparts or effects within the brain, they can not be shown to exist any other place.
