I write poetry and sometimes even poetry that rhymes. Sometimes I start a little negative but I try to bring it up by the end.
sniff out the light in the dark
snuffed out one candle too many
left here to simmer
back burner bound
a tightly woven band
around my head
the light pulls me down
from high-flying
split-level
out of control
bipolar blistered
too much light blisters my soul
too much darkness means nowhere
happy to roll
so sniff out the light in the dark.
