When In Doubt

This applies to folks who think. You know who you are. The thinkers who may end up doing. You look before you leap. Assess and plan the landscape. Prepare your attack and execute. You already know.

When you’ve had a couple of wins from thinking your way to success, you think that’s the secret sauce.

Eureka! It’s thinking! My brain — it’s the key to everything!

When you’re so smart and you’ve gotten whiffs of success by using your brain, you start using it all the time.

The result of this can be forcing outcomes, over-analyzing situations and things, trying to figure things out and in turn freaking out about not having the solution…until you come up with something.

The entire process taxes your brain (and not to mention your adrenal glands) and is essentially one big masterminding game to outsmart the world and life itself. I mean, you land somewhere, that’s for sure.

I would urge you to consider that in moments of doubt, there’s really nothing to “figure out.”

There is no right or wrong. More often than not, unless we know how the future unfolds, we are never certain about the results of our choices made in that very moment. In the best use case for “force”, we use our brains to run statistical odds to see what would render a future we could live with.

Naturally, as life is what it is (living into the future of unpredictability), it will always evade our calculations.

It will continue to dangle it’s carrot to nebulous-land in front of our ever-evolving, but not quite prophetic brain.

So what can a human do when at any juncture, decision or turning point in their lives? When in doubt or unfamiliar territory, what do you do?

You check in with your Heart. You go with your Heart.

Yup. That’s the best I got for you. It’s your heart, not your mind that makes things possible. It’s the genesis. Your mind can set the context — whether the sky is clearly blue or grey. But your mind also is what executes the order of your heart, if you allow it to rise as the primary driver of your life.

You’re going to have to accept that it’s all just about your heart.

We already know, if we just stop and listen. Let life gift you with what you’re asking for. Let it show up for you and present you the highest good and accept it. Even if it’s not exactly what you pictured it to be, there’s something there. Play with it.

Less brain. More heart. Let your heartbeat rise yet move less. No need to overcompensate or under-perform. Just be.

YOU ALREADY KNOW. JUST TRUST YOUR TRUTH.
