This is just the SaaS life-cycle — did anyone expect the servers powering revolv to stay on indefinitely? This stuff isn’t processed locally, even if it does have an on-site physical tie-in (the hub). I doubt anyone thought that ~$300 was buying them a guaranteed lifetime of server contracts. Sometimes apps cease support, products fail, companies fold — and no-one is left to pay for the backend processing. Come May 15th, I’m sure the hub itself will be the same nuts and bolts as it ever was — it just won’t have any infrastructure to phone home to.
