Do they? or eventually do the hipsters finally get that raise they were working so hard to get. There are an entire subset of yuppies that ARE hipsters who got promotions. The reason yuppies look like hipsters is because people don’t suddenly have different taste in music/hair/clothes because they are getting paid. My bearded bartender grew up to be the bearded bar-owner. He can now afford to buy the condo in the hood he used to only commute to for work.
