Rapper and Hip/Hop manager Gucci Mane, raised in Atlanta, is the star of Supreme’s latest video. The new short clip is shot by none other than the controversial filmmaker Harmony Korine. Titled “Gucci Mane”, the visual profiles the rapper at his mansion talking about how he strictly shops online and speaks on his kids, the 30 rappers he manages while also counting cash and messing around with his piano. Pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in may of 2014, Gucci agreed to a plea deal resulting him in being released this past june. This isn’t out of the ordinary for supreme to choose a rapper of this sort for one of their random videos, we’ve seen it before with RZA, Dipset, Ghostface, and slick rick. Supreme also stretches beyond just rap with videos of artists such as Bad brains back in 2008, Neil young, and Shane McGowan. We hope to continue to see more diverse artists for Supreme’s future short videos. thehype (Greg Davis)
