The Life of Jolene Neuhalfen

Part 1: The Story of My Life in 100 Words

“Do you copy?” I said secretly into my walkie talkie running around the house. Ever since I was younger, I always wanted to be a spy. It all started when my teacher told me she used to be a spy and once a little kid gets an idea, they are so determined to accomplish it they’ll do whatever it takes. After a couple of years of not getting my spy gear, I got the hint and moved on. For now, I’m focusing on getting over the bumps and bruises along the way and seeing where my life will take me.

Part 2: Graphing My Life

Part 3: Music That Moves Me

Every year my cousins invite my family and some other cousins up to their lake house located in Green Lake, WI. Well actually it is more of us inviting ourselves, but you get the picture.

My mom and my Aunt Rita have always loved Bruce Springsteen and every time we were in Green Lake on the boat, they would play Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen. Listening to that song always brings back all those fun, happy memories with my cousins, such as spending time up there on the boat tubing, jet skiing, riding go-carts, and just family bonding memories. I also remember the wind blowing in my hair and the splash of the waves up against the boat. Hearing this song really lifts my spirits.

Part 6: Famous People I Admire

Pope Francis

Pope Francis is the current Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. I admire him because he is very kind, generous, and has a message of love and forgiveness for all.

Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was an African American who worked for civil rights and fought to end segregation. I admire Rosa Parks because she was a very courageous and dedicated woman who never gave up.

Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a Jewish child who had to go into hiding at a young age during the Holocaust. I admire Anne Frank because even though she was stuck in hiding for a long time with many people, she never gave up hope and always found the good in the bad.
