I’m going to echo what Jeremy said on this article. There are some interesting ideas in this post, but it is very opinionated. You give a lot of reasons not to hire somebody but only one or two reasons to hire somebody for each point that you have. While knowing intricacies of JavaScript are good, I don’t think not knowing them should be deal-breakers when hiring.
