When I started blogging, which is not that long ago, I had to learn a lot of things really fast and correct my mistakes along the way. I still don’t know everything about blogging but I like getting to figure out stuff and learning even much more from other bloggers. Once you get into this blogging world, you realise real quick that you are not the only one and that some have been doing this gig for quite some time which may make you feel discouraged and wonder how you can also get out there and join other bloggers at the top. This is how to get noticed as a blogger.

We’ve all had about this consistency, and yes people it is key. If you want people to know who you are and continue coming back to your content, then you need to have a plan on how you will be consistent in your writing and keep at it. I am not saying write a post everyday, I tried that and ended up just making everything even harder for myself. So I would suggest you create a schedule and have certain days for writing, planning and publishing. The more consistent you are the better for your readers to come back.

I have read many people talking about uniqueness, I kinda disagree with that to a certain point because you just want to be noticed first as a blogger, so I would remove being unique and just say be YOU, be genuine and personal. Don’t try to be how another blogger is stop comparing yourself to others and just be you and it will show right through your content and that’s the only way you will start progressing.

Have a topic you are writing about and stick to it. The best part about blogging is that there is no specific thing that you have to write about to become a good blogger. You can write about anything so long as you can show other people that you know what you are talking about and continue doing that. Here are answers you need to find your niche and once you know what it is, everything becomes easier and because you love what you’re doing, other people will notice that and want to come back and read more of your content.

Everybody knows the internet is king and using it to be noticed is a good idea. The only thing I would say is choose a particular platform that you will be using to promote your blog focusing on mostly where most of your views generate from, if you are all over the place, it’s going to be a little bit overwhelming and so sticking to a couple of platforms that you are more active on is a good idea be it Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, all these are good platforms you just have to choose where your blog does well and be good at it, hence getting your name and blog out there.

Start interacting with other bloggers by reading their blogs and being able to comment genuinely, the best way to do this is looking for blogs within your niche and have a read, see what others have to offer and if you like someone’s post, do comment and tell the writer what you thought about it. Don’t just race through a blog post and comment “great post” like seriously, it’s not a like for like, find posts that you really connect with and give them your honest feedback, I am sure you would also want the same. That way once you start talking to other bloggers through their blogs, your name gets out there and so does your blog.

Lastly, I hope that these points will help you and remember that learning is a continuous process, I know there are many more ways but these are the ones I have for you now. If you have any more tips that have helped you in your blogging journey, feel free to share in the comments below.
