Joan Dispenza worked as a registered nurse and an Administrator for over twenty years in upstate New York. She started at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, New York. She became the Head Nurse of the Millard Fillmore Hospital in 1984, became the Director of Nursing in 1989, and moved on to Clinical Manager of Ambulatory Care Services in 1996. She became the Administrator of the Ambulatory Surgery Center in 1999.
