I can certainly understand your point from a personal standpoint for two reasons: 1. I have a dark-skinned Latino son-in-law, who has educated me about ‘driving while brown’ and other things, and 2. Because I have been the victim of reverse racism, just once, but that has been enough to stay with me for 50 years! I went to an all-black party with a friend and was asked if I were from the California Hotel, which was where the local hookers hung out, since I was the only white girl there. I honestly don’t know how so many of you manage to keep it together in this horrid society dealing with this kind of treatment. I am quite sure that if I had been born black, I would not have survived my twenties, maybe not even my teens!
