I am always tickled when science finally catches up to my religious belief, proving things like biblical history through archaeology. So it makes me laugh and cry to see that science has proven, once again, what the scripture says; we are all people with needs (you know: air, food, water, love, dignity, community), and it is my job specifically to give that, not legislate it away, as though it were mine to decide!

I cannot deny people-hood to anyone.

The easiest answer in the world for the washroom issue is to have individual, lockable toilets, and (perhaps) open, common sink areas. It would solve our fears of sexual predators, too, by the way, if that is not just a red herring to intolerance. School children have been bullied and picked on since school started, in bathrooms, where no-one could see.

All this bs leads me to believe that some folks don’t want a solution, they want a way to continue to marginalize, and make “other.” There are many things I do not support that I have no choice about. But this could be a cheap fix if that’s what we want. And I am supported by both my sacred text, and science!
