I agree with previous comments. This is a long and honest read. First I am taken on a journey of inspiration and hope, reading words and ideas I have read before, but written so very well. I have written a few articles on Linkedin, and received positive comments from them. It has been a passion of mine to write but it always seemed “too hard”. Your article was making the idea sound amazingly possible. By the way, I am not a ‘young’ writer by any means, but I don’t think of myself as any age in particular. If anything, my age gives me more experience of life to write about.
But then, reading the end of your article, sadly, I was dropped to the bottom with “we all end up sitting in the corner in panic” anyway, even if we do end up “looking successful”. So, I ask you, why would we bother? I am left wondering really.
Maybe we can all just lay around and read fiction, drink pleasant tasting drinks, eat yummy food and enjoy fun, relaxing company, BUT, only on the weekends. We would have to work for a salary to do that. It is the freedom of freelance and writing, or working the 9–5. Either way, we all end up with days of panic and stress during the week and in our lives. Like the saying goes — a duck on a pond. Calm on the surface, paddling like crazy under the water. I am “getting through it” — but that is all I am doing.
