Love It All
It’s a thing!
I know what you’re thinking. How can this be when there is so much that is not love?
The thing is if you have intent and purpose and shine love and know that thought will make the bad stuff less bad. You can then do it more.
If life or actions are utterly atrocious than that is when you act to help. Act in whatever way possible to make it less bad.
Do something, even if it is the smallest thing, to make it a bit better. The little touch that you made will have a ripple effect across the world into the Universe. That little act or kindness or donation or devotion or prayer can make a difference.
Making a Difference
Just imagine how nice it would be to have everyone know they are loved. People wouldn’t be afraid anymore so violence will slow and slow until it stops. People would have enough so they would not be hungry and have to steal for sustenance. Stress levels and depression and diseases would be gone. People would be able to trust again and invite people to their homes without wondering later if they would be robbed and ripped off.
Wars would be a thing of the past because a better way would be love through compromise. The prisons would be empty because the criminals were treated with love and compassion and tutored to learn better and not treated with disdain and hate.
The prisons could either be torn down or refurbished to be used for something other than lockups; short-term shelters for the homeless, housing for immigrants and families until they can get on their feet and have a better, safer life. Changed into colleges and schools that are free to all then create more jobs that are love based.
A movie comes to mind every time I write like this. It came out in 1993, “Demolition Man” with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Benjamin Bratt, Sandra Bullock, and more. The movie was set in a time (2023) that was fake kindness and love. It’s listed as a wacky, satirical action flick.
Good idea but the bad guys were still around and the main bad guy made everyone worse. The result was a whole society of badness covered over with fake love. People still had to steal for food and there was no place for the poor and homeless. They were hidden underground to fend for themselves.
The Mastery of Love
In the book, The Mastery of Love, Don Miguel Ruiz talks of love in a poem;
A Toltec is an artist of Love,
an artist of the Spirit,
someone who is creating every moment,
every second, the most beautiful art-
The Art of Dreaming.
Life is nothing but a dream,
and if we are artists,
then we can create our life with Love,
and our dream becomes
a masterpiece of art.
The Toltecs were known throughout southern Mexico as women and men of knowledge. They were labeled a “race of people” but were actually scientists and artists who formed a society to explore and conserve the spiritual knowledge and practices of the ancient masters. They came together as masters and students at Teotihuacan, an ancient city of pyramids outside Mexico City known as a place where “Man Becomes God.”
The ancient prophecies foretold the coming of an age when it would be necessary to return the wisdom to the people. It honors all the spiritual masters who have taught on the earth. It is most accurately described as a way of life, distinguished by the ready accessibility of happiness and love.
In the very first chapter he talks about a man that was listening to the Master and how what he was saying made him feel full of hope and love. He asked the Master to come to house because he wanted to understand how to keep that love. The man goes out and buys food and goes home to prepare for the Master’s visit. During the time he was waiting, three other people came to his house and he helped them. He felt a bit disappointed that the Master did not come but had a dream that he did. When he woke up he felt filled with happiness because the Master had taught him something new. The Master lives within everyone. When you give food to the one who is starving, when you give water to the one who is thirsty and when you cover the one who is cold, you give your love to the Master. So Love can change your life overnight.
There are zillions of ways to show love and it is not some “namby, pamby” way of looking at things. It could be shown as motivation, trust, and help as in helping the homeless and needy. It could be shown in teaching, reading to children, making it safe for children to be around adults that won’t abuse them but motivate them to grow and prosper. And it could be shown as help to young adults in showing them the ways of the world and life so they won’t be so afraid to step out there and make something of themselves. We all have to have a base of operation, a springboard, a leap of faith to be able to be in this life. And it is all up to us to make differences. Things don’t have to be the same all the time. Life is a progression of small actions into big results.
